Privacy Policy (Draft)

Hitsuroku keeps audio capture, transcription, and formatting on your Mac by default. Server communication is limited to account, device, quota, and usage metadata needed to operate membership features.
Information Sent from the App
- An installation-scoped device hash generated by the app. This value is used to distinguish one app installation from another for quota and device management.
- Device metadata such as device name, platform, app version, and last seen time.
- Account identifiers returned by WorkOS AuthKit, such as user ID and email address.
- Usage counters only: startup count, successful transcription count, and formatting count for a local calendar day.
- A quota lease refresh request at most about once per hour while the app is active, or when account state changes.
Information We Store
- Account records for signed-in users.
- Connected device records linked to an account.
- Per-device daily usage summaries.
- Per-account daily usage summaries aggregated across connected devices.
- Quota schedule data that determines how many requests are allowed for each plan.
Information We Do Not Send
- Raw audio recordings.
- Transcribed text content.
- Formatted output text.
- Clipboard contents or the names of the applications where text is inserted.
How We Use This Information
We use this metadata only to operate account sign-in, synchronize daily quota across devices, show connected devices in the account page, and support future paid plans.
